The World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-06) held in Doha, Qatar, established a new Special Global Initiative on “Access to telecommunication services for people with disabilities” through Resolution 56. Two workshops have since been held in Geneva (September 2007) and Cairo (November 2007).
The workshop is an important platform for reviewing, discussing, sharing experiences and establish contacts on issues and policies for having persons with disabilities gain access to ICT.
