Asharqia Chamber, the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EPCCI) will organize on May 19, 2010 a workshop on cybercrimes. The event will be held in cooperation with the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC).
The workshop, due to be held at EPCCI headquarters in Dammam, aims at enlightening the community on potential risks while using the Internet. It also aims at introducing regulations pertaining to cybercrimes.
The event will discuss a number of relevant topics; including: definition of cybercrimes and their motivations, characteristics of cybercriminals, ways of attacks on information systems, victims of cybercrimes and rules of combating these crimes.
Among those taking part in this workshop is Dr. Dhaif Allah Al-Zahrani, CITC vice governor for legal affairs and Dr. Suliman Mirdad, CITC vice governor foe information technology affairs.
