Initiative Objectives

Promote the importance of the use of telecommunications and information technology to community members (in all different categories and levels of education), with A focus on youth, and raise awareness in this area.

Target Segments

•  School students (grades 4-6 in beginning , intermediate and secondary).
• College and universities students.
• Commons segments (visitors of local festivals, exhibitions and a variety of  symposia and conferences, and sports clubs visitors).

• Introducing how important  telecommunications and information technology in the society to the targeted  groups.
  
• Identifying the multiple uses of communications and information technology.
  
• Identifying  positive and negative aspects in the use of communication and information technology.
  
• To clarify the importance of  information security and privacy on the use of technology.
  
• Definition of  the concern regulations and legislation.
  
• Define computer crimes and how to deal with it.
  
• Introducing the e-services and methods of use, and how it will reflect  the progress and evelopment of the community.
  
• The distinction between benefits and damages associated with the use of Bluetooth technology (Bluetooth), and short messages for mobile (SMS), multimedia (mms), and talk programs instantaneous (chat), and others.
