The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) said that more than 200 sites and firms have registered to compete for the annual digital excellence Award in its 5th round.
It’s to be noted here that the registration this year has covered the following branches; websites for government departments, NGOs, non-profit institutions, business and finance, education, health and medical services, cultural websites, science and technology and interactive entertainment websites besides the registration of companies working in providing internet services in the following fields (web designing, Arabic content administration and ISP &site hosting).
The registration for the different branches of the Award is distributed as following:
Firstly: Digital Excellence Award for the companies providing internet services:

SECONDLY: DIGITAL EXCELLENCE AWRAD INTERNET WEB SITES BRANCHES:

The advisor to the minister of communication and Information Technology, the general supervisor of the Award Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Al-Gasim revealed that the Award Board has launched revision and examination (sorting phase) which will be followed by arbitration phase. He went on saying that more than 50 arbitrators (six arbitrators for each website) are going to evaluate the websites according to specific standards published together with the all other Award details in the ministry website.
He further added that the winners will be honored in a ceremony to be held under the sponsorship of H. E. Eng Mohammed Jamil Mulla, Minister of Communications and Information Technology
