National Frequency Plan approved

The Council of Ministers of Saudi Arabia has approved the new National Frequency Plan. On this occasion, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah Al-Swaha has extended his thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince.

Eng. Al-Swaha unveiled that the new National Frequency Plan is the primary means of managing the frequency spectrum and regulating its uses, as well as providing appropriate frequencies for the provision and deployment of all wireless applications in line with the future aspirations of the Kingdom to create a digital economy attractive for investments and optimal sustainability of resources. He added that the plan represents an addition to the main pillars of the sector and acts as a vital resource for the other government agencies associated with its programs and applications.

In addition, Al-Swaha thanked all government agencies for supporting the National Frequency Plan and their consolidated efforts to allocate and distribute spectrum, especially the Ministries of Defense and Interior.
