Ministry of Communications issues public consultation document on draft postal law

In order to improve the postal sector in Saudi Arabia as one of the sectors enableing the Vision 2030 as well as to create an attractive environment for investment and innovation through developing various postal services and promoting fair competition, in line with the the market's needs for providing advanced postal services at reasonable prices, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) recently announced issuance of a public consultation document on the draft postal law.

The MCIT called upon all stakeholders to submit views on the draft law, and to provide their data, analyses and comparative studies that support their views. The stakeholders should send all the submissions by Wednesday, 16 May 2018, via e-mail at opinion@mcit.gov.sa or deliver them by hand or mail at: "Agency for Planning and Development, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, King AbdulAziz Telecom Complex, Al-Morsalat District, Riyadh 11112, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."

The ministry noted that the respondents' views and comments on the draft law would be reviewed and used to develop the final version of the law in order to achieve the sector's objectives under the programs of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.
