National Center For Digital Certification Organizes Workshop on 'Digital Certification - Applications And Integration’ In Collaboration With Eastern Province Municipality
The National Center for Digital Certification (NCDC) -affiliated with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology- is organizing a workshop entitled 'Digital Certification- Applications and Integration’ in collaboration with the Eastern Province Municipality, on Wednesday, 18 July 2018, at the headquarters of the Municipality in Dammam City.
The NCDC's workshop is aimed at raising awareness, introducing of the applications, services, integration tools, and solutions for Public Keys Infrastructure (PKI), in addition to explaining the development of the current applications to rely on PKI, reviewing relevant benefits, encouraging government agencies to develop the present applications, as well as developing new applications that rely on PKI.
The workshop will feature numerous key themes, including introduction of PKI and its services, such as the digital signature, and integration of its applications in the current e-services to improve the performance of the procedures, enabling shift from a paper-based system to an integrated electronic system while protecting data tamper or change, and verifying the identity of users, by ensuring that it has a legal force similar to that of the hand-written signature in the e-transactions system. Furthermore, the participating agencies will presente examples in linking and integrating business applications and e-services with the PKI.
The NCDC called upon all specialized and interested individuals to take part in the workshop's activities in order to avail of it, and to get to know the recent significant developments, by registering through this website http://Workshop.ncdc.gov.sa .
It is noteworthy that NCDC seeks to provide an integrated system for the management for the public keys infrastructure on which all e-businesses such as e-commerce and e-government are based. This system allows transactors of different categories (Government, individuals, businesses) to conduct their electronic transactions online with confidentiality, and trustworthiness.
