His Excellency Eng. Abdullah Al-Swaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, stressed the need of the Kingdom to sponsor and discover talents. He added that the Ministry has paid increasing attention to technically gifted through organizing a number of events, the latest of which was the ‘Digital Machines Hackathon’ aimed at creating the appropriate environment for developing the digital capacities of the youth and realizing their creative potential, investing in their capabilities and maximize their returns, in addition to harnessing these capabilities in driving the process of digital transformation forward.  He also called for intensifying efforts and consolidating them in order to invest in the talents of Saudis and availing of them as a national stock that contributes to fulfilling the hopes and aspirations.

This came during receiving the girl Marian Taher Saleh, the youngest media professional in the Kingdom, and her father at his office on Thursday 19 July 2018.

Eng. Al-Swaha commended Marian’s talent and praised the role of her family that supported her from earlier until she was able to enter the media field. Al-Swaha expressed his appreciation for her achievements and the awards she received.

For his part, the child's father Mr. Taher Saleh extended thanks and appreciation to the Minister for his reception, appreciation and encouragement for his daughter.
