MCIT Organizes Workshop for Creatives to Explore AI Potential in Art and Design
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), in collaboration with the Fashion Commission and the Artificial Intelligence Center at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University's College of Computer and Information Sciences, organized a workshop titled “AI in Arts and Design.” The event brought together a distinguished group of experts and specialists from leading global companies.
Held from October 5 to 7, the workshop aims to empower artists and designers with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to understand and apply AI technologies in their creative practices. The sessions combine theoretical foundations, hands-on applications, and collaborative projects.
The first day introduced participants to the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and its applications in artistic creativity and design, while also showcasing international experiences and Adobe’s global vision in this field.
The second day focused on practical applications using cutting-edge tools such as DALL·E, Midjourney, and Stable Diffusion, alongside a specialized session led by Adobe on innovation in fashion and design.
The final day will address ethical and legal dimensions of using AI in the arts, including intellectual property rights and responsible use, in addition to a session by Microsoft on integrating business strategies with creative innovation.
The workshop is set to conclude with participants presenting their collaborative creative projects before a panel of experts — fostering experiential learning, knowledge exchange, and creative dialogue among the attendees.
