Minister of Communications and IT Starts a Series of Meetings with Major US Tech Companies

His Excellency Eng. Abdullah Al-Swaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and his accompanying delegation held a series of meetings with major technology companies, research, development and innovation centers and space companies in the United States of America. The Meetings aim at strengthening the Kingdom's position as the largest, fastest and highest digital economy in the Middle East and North Africa region and consolidating the the Kingdom’s leading position as a regional hub for technology and innovation, and for attracting investments to the Kingdom by building strategic partnerships to promote and develop the digital economy, innovation and space economy, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

KSA ,being the the largest technology and digital market in the Middle East and North Africa with $40 billion, the second fastest growing country in the Digital Competitiveness Report according to the World Economic Forum, and as the 10 fastest growing countries in financial technologies, digital content and e-commerce, seeks to strengthen aspects of its communication and relations with developed countries such as the USA. The initiatives and investments announced by KSA in LEAP22 conference are indicative of its determination to forge ahead in strengthening and building its digital economy and its transition from an economy based on natural resources to an innovation based economy, extending the impact to serve humanity, preserving the planet, the growth and prosperity of the Middle East and North Africa.
