Six Saudi Students Win at Huawei ICT Competition, Nominate to Participate in Finals in Oman

The Huawei ICT Competition in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, organized by Huawei in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, concluded yesterday in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology for Future Jobs and Capabilities Eng. Faris Al-Saqqbi, Executive Vice President of Huawei Saudi Arabia William Zhang, winning students from Saudi universities and colleges and their supervisors.
Six Saudi students won to participate in the final competition in Oman after more than 3,500 talented students from 30 colleges and universities took part in the 2022 edition.
The competition aims to develop the comprehensive and integrated local ICT system that begins with developing young technical talents, enhancing their innovative capabilities and refining their knowledge and expertise in line with the accelerating developments of technology and plans to prepare the next generation of technology leaders in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to serve the goals of digital transformation and building a sustainable knowledge-based digital economy in realization of the Saudi Vision 2030.
Huawei's ICT competition in the Middle East is one of several social responsibility initiatives launched by Huawei to care for technically talented young people in the Middle East. Through the competition, the Huawei Seed for the Future program and joint laboratories established in collaboration with several universities in the region as well as joint innovation centers, Huawei seeks to make a mark in fostering the development of young talents in the region and provide them with the skills necessary to contribute to digital transformation and advancing their countries' development.
