H.E. the Minister of Communications and IT Congratulates the Leadership on Professor Omar Yaghi’s Nobel Prize in Chemistry
H.E. Eng. Abdullah Alswaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, extended his congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister on the occasion of the Saudi scientist Professor Omar Mones Yaghi winning the 2025 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, as the first Saudi scientist to receive this prestigious global recognition.
Alswaha emphasized that this historic achievement embodies the vision of HRH the Crown Prince in empowering Saudi minds, attracting world-class talent, and harnessing science and innovation to serve humanity and sustainable development.
He also praised the outstanding contributions of Professor Yaghi, who serves as an advisor at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), Director of the Joint Center of Excellence at the City, and a member of the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority—contributions that have strengthened the Kingdom’s global leadership in science, research, and innovation.
