Future Technologies

•    Opportunities to adopt and apply future and emerging technologies on a national scale in GCC countries
•    Usage of future and emerging technologies to increase efficiency in national sectors (Agriculture, water, industry, energy, smart cities, ...)
•    Operating models to develop and apply future and emerging technologies
•    Studies on expected impacts and scenarios from future and emerging technologies
•    Impact of future and emerging technologies on sustainable development goals (SDGs)

Submission Requirements:

- Research must not be previously submitted or published.
- Research is accepted in both Arabic and English.
- Applications are done through the electronic form.

Research Assessment:

A committee of specialists in various fields of technology and economy will assess research based on the following:
- Added intellectual value.
- Novelty of data and information in the research.
- Potential of research to contribute to launching initiatives and policies that serve the ICT sector and digital economy in GCC countries.

Award Benefits:

- Monetary awards for winners
- Winners will be honored during one of the Technology Foresight Center’s events
- Supporting winners in publishing their research.

Award Phases:

Application and Assessment Track:

- Applications are submitted through the application form at the end of this page.
- Final date for submission is on Thursday 25th of April 2024
- Assessment committee members are announced after the application deadline.
- Applications are assessed by the committee member to select the participants in the award. 
- Participants are notified through email to start working on their research.
- Participants are given a period of time, as shown in the “Award Phases” section, to write and send their research.
- Research is reviewed and graded by the assessment committee. Winners are selected based on the committee’s input.
- Technology Foresight Center (TFC) contacts the winners to invite them to be awarded during one TFC’s events.
