Minister of Communications Holds Series of Meetings with Global Tech Leaders to Boost Investment and Drive Innovation
Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah Alswaha held a series of meetings with global technology leaders on the sidelines of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) to explore partnership opportunities in developing advanced technologies and enhancing strategic investments in the digital economy and artificial intelligence, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to build a thriving and sustainable digital economy.
Alswaha met with Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Honeywell Vimal Kapur to discuss partnerships in industrial technologies and smart cities, as well as cooperation in sustainable energy and industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions that enhance production efficiency and sustainability, reinforcing the Kingdom's transition toward a knowledge- and technology-driven digital economy.
He also met with Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Liberty Strategic Capital Steven T. Mnuchin to discuss investment opportunities in Saudi startups and promote venture capital growth and entrepreneurship. The meeting explored ways to strengthen investment partnerships within the innovation and technology ecosystem, support the growth of startups, and accelerate their access to global markets.
As part of efforts to empower developers and entrepreneurs with emerging technologies, Alswaha met with Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Replit Amjad Masad to discuss collaboration in developing AI agent technologies and enabling developers to create intelligent solutions that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and accelerate automated business model innovation, fostering the global growth of the software and AI economy.
In addition, Alswaha met with Founder and Chairman of EDGNEX Data Centers by DAMAC Hussain Sajwani to discuss investment opportunities in developing advanced data centers and enhancing regional and international connectivity. The meeting also reviewed cooperation areas in expanding digital infrastructure and attracting high-impact investments in the data center sector, positioning the Kingdom as a global digital hub.
