Communications Ministry Honors Winners of ‘Quantum Challenge’
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology concluded the “Quantum Challenge,” held over five days at the ministry’s headquarters, in partnership with NEOM, the University of Tabuk, IBM, and the Saudi Quantum Technology Association, and sponsored by Go Telecom.
According to a press release issued by the ministry today, the challenge saw the participation of outstanding students and graduates in computer science and information technology, in an educational and competitive experience designed to equip participants with quantum programming skills, as well as applications of quantum optimization and AI solutions.
The final competition marked the culmination of a comprehensive learning journey that began with foundational training and progressed toward tackling practical, real-world challenges. The event concluded with the announcement of the top three winning teams, recognized for presenting innovative and high-impact quantum solutions.
The release added that the organization of the challenge comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to build national capabilities in future technologies such as quantum computing, enhancing the Kingdom’s readiness for the future.
