MCIT Launches the Second Term of the Digital Sector Skills Council with First Quarterly Meeting
The first quarterly meeting of the Digital Sector Skills Council in its second term was convened under the leadership of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), hosted at Accenture’s headquarters, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen integration across the digital capability development ecosystem and align its outputs with the evolving needs of the Saudi labor market.
The meeting reviewed the strategic objectives of the Council’s second term, overseen by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD). Participants also approved the work of the Executive Committee and welcomed the new members joining the Council for the current term.
The meeting brought together representatives from several public sector entities, including the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), the Committee of Deans of Computer Colleges, and the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF). Private sector partners also participated, notably Accenture, Microsoft, Oracle, Elm, stc, and Mozn, alongside a number of leading national and international companies.
Participants agreed to launch a series of high-impact collaborative initiatives during the current Council term to support sector growth and enhance the readiness of national talent, in line with the rapid transformations taking place across technology and innovation fields.
On the sidelines of the meeting, attendees reviewed the outcomes of technical talent qualification programs delivered through the Accenture Academy, whose graduates have been recruited by the company—further reinforcing efforts to empower Saudi talent and strengthen its presence in the labor market.
